For 35 years a close group of family and friends have met for a weekend in October to make homemade apple cider. This tradition of autumn in the country is locally known as Squeezins.
I camped out in a farmyard outside Crawford, Colorado a while back and videotaped the juices running into the bucket at the 33rd annual Squeezins. The big guy working the press, Wayne, and his daughter Kate took me down and showed me how to make cider.
Three years later and I’m back in Colorado again. The changing leaves outside reminded me of this old video so I thought I’d throw it up on the blog. Now if I could only find some decent cider down here in town.
